TwinFan nozzles

The new TurboDrop TwinFan (TDTF) and AirMix TwinFan (AMTF) nozzles, designed specifically for penetrating the soybean canopy and providing improved coverage for rust fungicides, have proven effective for aphid insecticide applications, as well.

Creating a proper droplet size is critical for penetration and coverage with contact chemicals. The TDTF creates a 200 to 300 micron, fine to medium droplet spectrum at 80 to 120 psi. It drives the droplets into the canopy at two different angles.

The AMTF is designed for sprayers not capable of high pressure. At 50 to 80 psi, the AMTF will produce the appropriate droplet size.

New grass herbicide

Equinox from BASF provides post-emergent grass control in peas, flax and lentils.

The new group one graminicide controls wild oats, green foxtail, volunteer barley and volunteer wheat at the 40 or 60 acre per case rate when applied at the one to six true leaf stage of grassy weeds, up to two tillers.

Equinox controls quackgrass at the 32 acre per case rate when applied at the three to six true leaf stage.

The active ingredient in Equinox is absorbed through the leaves and rapidly translocated throughout the plant to the rhizomes.

Equinox stops active weed growth within two days of application, and provides complete control seven to 21 days after treatment.
