Sterile solution
Pfizer Animal Health Canada has introduced a new
100 mL bottle of Lutalyse Sterile Solution (dinoprost tromethamine). Dairy, beef and swine producers can use the larger-sized bottle to administer the product faster and more cost effectively. The 100 mL bottle contains 20 treatments and is ideal for larger herds.
Lutalyse is a key component of any reproductive management program. It sychronizes estrus for shorter breeding sessions in swine, dairy and beef cattle.

Floor mat
Taking muddy vehicles into the shop is sometimes necessary, but dropping all that mud onto the floor is not.
A Floor Guard mat system manufactured by Winkler Canvas is designed to help keep the shop floor clear of mud, salt, water and other lubricants or chemicals.
The Floor Guard mat features a one-inch raised edge around the perimeter to contain liquids. The lip consists of pliable ethafoam that has been heat sealed into the material. After the tires roll over the lip, it springs back to its original height.
The mats are constructed of 32 ounce per sq. yard, antiskid, vinyl-coated nylon. The material is rated from -40 C to +40 C and is waterproof and resistant to ultraviolet radiation. Each mat carries a five-year warranty. They can be cleaned with a wet or dry shop vac, broom or garden hose and squeegee.
All mats are 7.5 feet wide. The 17 foot long mat holds 58 imperial gallons of liquid, weighs 30 pounds and costs $245. The 19.5 foot mat holds 65 gallons, weighs 35 pounds and costs $275. The 22 foot mat hold 73 gallons, weighs 40 pounds and costs $305. Custom sizes are available.

More compact sprayer
Case IH recently announced a new 1,000 gallon Patriot sprayer it calls the SPX3320.
It is built with the same features found on its big brother the SPX4420, but the SPX3320 has been scaled down.
The product tank is cone-shaped to improve rear visibility so the operator can monitor boom position and nozzle spray patterns.
The SPX3320 uses the typical Case cab forward, rear engine configuration with the product tank in the middle.
The sprayer is equipped with a new boom control that lets the operator fold or unfold the left and right inner and outer booms simultaneously with a single switch. The parallel-link style boom is available in 60-90 feet or 60-100 feet configurations.
The same 6.7 litre electronically controlled diesel used in other Case implements is installed in the SPX3320 sprayer. The engine is rated at 235 horsepower at 2,200 rpm with a peak horsepower rating of 240 hp at 2,000 rpm and a peak torque rating of 752 foot-pounds at 1,400 rpm.
The engine uses a high pressure common rail, electronically controlled fuel injection system that combines the fuel and air to meet performance requirements while maintaining the Tier 3 emission standards.
AIM Command spray technology is also available. This system uses pulse width modulation technology to manage pressure and droplet size independent of speed and rate. This also provides on-the-go drift control. For more information, visit www.caseih.com.
