Tilt indicator

Hillsides can play havoc with the accuracy of a GPS system. The greater the side-slope, the farther the receiver is from the centre

of the cab.

The Mid-Tech TeeJet Tilt Compensation Module is a device that corrects GPS position errors caused by side-slope conditions. Mounted to a solid structure on the implement, the Tilt Compensation Module intercepts GPS position data and applies a correction based on the slope condition of the implement. It detects when the implement experiences a sideways tilt that causes the GPS antenna to be shifted away from the centerline of the vehicle and a position error to result.

Irrigation pipe

Lindsay Manufacturing, which makes Zimmatic centre pivots, has introduced a corrosion-resistant pipeline for irrigation water that is acidic, alkaline or contains chemicals.

Zimmatic offers three long-lasting pipeline solutions for corrosive water conditions using high-quality materials and heavy-duty construction.

Inserting a polyethylene liner into galvanized steel pipe makes the product suitable for low and high pH irrigation water. The high-density polyethylene liner handles corrosive water conditions and reduces friction losses, which saves money on energy costs.

Other options include stainless steel and aluminum, with the stainless steel pipe offering the highest level of corrosion resistance.

Aluminum pipe offers greater flow efficiency thanks to the ultra-smooth interior surface. This is the preferred choice for pH levels between seven and five.
