Metering pump
The latest series of agricultural metering pumps from John Blue is dubbed the Next Generation Pump, or NGP.
The NGP incorporates the basic engineering traits of the L and LM pumps and uses the same footprint as the LM series for easy interchangeability. The series features a number of improvements over the previous L and LM pumps.
Single valve cap: One-piece valve cap allows for easy check valve access without removing the hoses. Service inspection and maintenance can be done in the field.

Outboard cylinder: Plunger packing can be inspected or replaced in the field without removing the hoses.
Main shaft seals: The newly designed main shaft seals incorporate a dual wiper that are enclosed in a grease cavity to flush out contamination, resulting in longer life.
Check valve: A positive check O-ring seal offers enhanced priming.
Universal piston rod seals: Pump life is maximized by the three-stage design V-packing wet end, back up V-packing protection for the crankcase and secondary O-ring seal to reduce crankcase weepage.
Standard main shafts: Standard single and double piston pump crankshafts are universal in the NGP line for modular upgrades such as clutches and on-the-go
variable rate.
Double-piston planter pump: NGP-8055 offers 42.0 gpm for
24-row planters.
Common or independent manifolds: The larger capacity NGP double piston pumps come standard with a common inlet and outlet manifold that can be removed for independent pumping chambers, allowing dual flow divider use or half width applications.
