VIDEO: Green Lightning and Nytro Ag win sustainability innovation award
Nytro Ag Corp and Green Lightning recieved an innovation award at Ag in Motion 2025 for the Green Lightning Nitrogen Machine, which converts atmospheric nitrogen into a plant-usable form.
Sovran fungicide, which contains kresoxim-methyl, is the first strobilurin to be registered in Canada for any crop.
It has systemic activity that allows the active ingredient to spread across the surface of the leaf or fruit in a vapor, resulting in more uniform protection against disease.
It controls apple scab up to 96 hours after the crop has been infected and provides 10-14 days of preventative disease control.

Expanded Prestige label
Dow AgroSciences has received an expanded tank mix label registration for Prestige herbicide.
The product is now approved to control volunteer flax, round-leaf mallow, stork’s-bill and other broadleaf weeds in a single pass when tank mixed with Assert.
Prestige is registered for use on spring wheat and barley, but not durum. It controls perennial weeds such as Canada thistle and sow thistle.
In 2000, Dow AgroSciences also expects to get registration for two other Prestige tank mixes – Horizon and Puma Super to provide control of broadleaf and grasses in one pass.

TagTeam registrations
Philom Bios has received two registrations for TagTeam inoculants for chickpea or dry beans.
TagTeam is a seed inoculant that maximizes the plant’s uptake of phosphate and nitrogen to promote healthy, vigorous crops.
The company also has TagTeam products for lentils and peas. Bacteria in the inoculant are specific to each crop, which means an inoculant designed for peas, for example, will not work on beans.
The company said that in 51 farmer-applied split-field demonstrations on peas and lentils, crops with TagTeam averaged 11 percent more yield per acre than competitive seed-applied inoculants.

Remote control for field markers
Centrack Controls has introduced MarkerMaster, a remote control for field markers.
With one-touch button operation, farmers can accurately position markers.
It has a variable top-up feature, which automatically keeps markers in position and is adjustable to match the condition of the hydraulic system.
The lights on the control box allow the operator to see the position of each marker and monitor the marker motion.
MarkerMaster separates marker control from the implement lift function. There is no need to lift the implement to adjust markers when crossing ditches or planting point rows.
