Filling the drill
Unverferth Manufacturing Co., Inc. has developed a drill fill system. The CCS Planter Fills are available in conveyor or folding auger models. Both have dual on-off controls and a standard telescoping downspout.
Variable-speed conveyor models are 18 feet long and six inches wide. They have galvanized construction and move as much as 10 bushels per minute.
The conveyor has six inch belts with two inch vulcanized paddles on nine inch spacings. Side tolerance of the belt to the outer edge is less than 1/32 of an inch. The conveyor model also comes with a standard gas-spring lift-assist.

Auger models are also 18 feet long and feature six inch diameter steel-tube construction for enhanced unloading height and strength. Augers are available with a choice of three flighting options. Cupped steel or cupped plastic flighting moves seed at up to 10 bu. per minute. Brush-tip flighting transports seed at eight bu. per minute. The auger model folds in half and locks in place for transport efficiency and safety.

Spread the manure
Kuhn Knight, Inc. has a new line of hydraulic push manure spreaders. The new ProPush spreaders feature piggyback hydraulic cylinders and a heavy-duty push panel for manure hauling and spreading.
The spreaders do not have apron chains, meaning fewer moving parts, less maintenance and greater dependability during cold temperatures. Other features include one-piece solid poly sides, two-piece solid poly floor and removable beater panels. ProPush spreaders are offered in 440 and 540 heaped cubic foot capacities.
