Hitch planer
J.S. Dixon of Brant, Alta. has developed a three-point hitch planer blade “cultiweeder.”
The inventor says the implement has been developed to do a more satisfactory job of cultivating in variable conditions and can be used instead of a disc implement or a regular shovel-type cultivator.

Bin monitor
Agtron Enterprises Inc. has added the M2 shaft-bin monitor to its product line.
The monitor features advanced, constant performance with a plug-in sensor adaptable to most machinery.
It monitors any combination of bin level, bin tape and shaft rotation sensors.
For example, Agtron says, using the M2 to maintain exact speed can extend the life of scrubber chains on a beet harvester.
Bin tape is a new type of sensor that allows measurement of the level of product in any bin.
A splitter box allows attachment of one to six sensors.
The display updates every second. The monitor has programmable audio-visual alarm points.
The M2’s modular system allows the operator to buy only the components needed.
