Grain cleaner
Lightfoot Manufacturing, Inc. has introduced a larger grain cleaner.
The 7254 model has 108 sq. feet of screen cleaning capacity. It can process 1,200 bushels an hour to market quality or 600 bushels an hour for seed quality.
Using the proper screen, the unit will handle all commodities including small grains, legumes and grasses.
It has all-steel precision welded construction, top and bottom air aspirators, four removable ball racks and anti-clog roll feed hopper.

Grapple fork
Leon Manufacturing announced a new grapple fork, the M1600, for hauling round bales or feeding silage.
The unit has two, 21Ú2 inch diameter cylinders designed to provide even force across the 72-inch width of the grapple fork.
The unit can be coupled with the Leon M160 bucket to handle loose material in silage or manure.
Bolt-on inner tines are adjustable and additional tines can be mounted for special applications. The grapple fork and bucket fit a range of Leon loaders.

Mastitis screening test
Pharmacia and Upjohn Animal Health have introduced a new on-farm mastitis screening test.
Hy-Mast kits, available through veterinarians, combine plastic tubes and integral screw caps with attached media culture paddles to detect mastitis-causing bacteria such as staphylococcus, streptococcus and E. coli.
Preliminary results are usually available before the next milk to assist in deciding whether antibiotic treatment is needed.
