Application system

The Ivomec Pour-On PowerMaster application system from Merial Canada is

designed for high-volume cattle processing situations.

The system is powered by compressed air. It offers fast filling action,

improved

ergonomics, a light handset and a powered trigger designed to lessen

hand strain.

In its pour-on application configuration, it will dose from five to 50

millilitres in five ml increments.

VIDEO: Green Lightning and Nytro Ag win sustainability innovation award

Nytro Ag Corp and Green Lightning recieved an innovation award at Ag in Motion 2025 for the Green Lightning Nitrogen Machine, which converts atmospheric nitrogen into a plant-usable form.

John Deere has added two 15 foot rotary cutters, the CX-15 and HX-15.

The double-decker design provides extra strength, improves cutting

performance and reduces rust on the top deck.

The HX-15 provides a cushioned operation, as spring-suspended wheel

standards allow for even cutting on rough terrain.

The CX-15 maneuvres smoothly over uneven fields by combining air

springs and shock absorbers on all wheel standards. The wheels on both

models are adjustable for most row spacings.

The cutters have self-levelling clevis hitches that provide smooth

tracking and pulling, and allow operators more maneuvrability for tight

turns, the company said.

The wings fold up to a nine foot width for transport.

With six inch blade overlap, both rotary cutters offer wings that flex

vertically from 90 degrees above grade to 22 degrees below grade,

allowing them to follow the contours of the ground. In both models,

the left side can be removed and replaced with a weight box,

transforming it into a 10 foot flex-wing rotary cutter.

Guidance system

CenterLine, the new lightbar guidance system from Midwest Technologies,

has a global positioning system-based guidance system with wireless

remote control.

The system, which consists of a compact, high-lumen lightbar, submeter

GPS antenna-receiver and wireless remote control, uses differential

corrections from the free WAAS, or wide area augmentation system,

reducing expense.

The CenterLine lightbar has the usual arrangement of green, yellow and

red guidance lights arranged in a curved arc at the top of the

lightbar. The compact curved design makes the steering cues provided by

the system more intuitive than straight lightbars.

The brightness of the LEDs is adjustable for easy observation in

various light conditions.

A text display on the lightbar gives the

operator a choice of messages about the current job as he works.

Vehicle speed, area covered, track error and several other messages are

available.

The wireless remote has seven large, backlit keys that direct the

functions of the system through menus shown on the lightbar text-report

display.

The handheld remote runs on two AA

batteries.

With no need for cables to connect the lightbar to the handheld

control, the cab remains sealed from dust or other contaminants, even

if the lightbar is mounted on the hood of the vehicle.

Long-term plans are to enable the system to communicate with a handheld

computer that will display maps of work in process and provide

application records.

CenterLine is available through TeeJet and Mid-Tech distributors.
