Cart does two jobs
BRD Farms’ custom-built tow-behind liquid fertilizer cart features a liquid fertilizer and air tank combination on one cart.
The unit can also be configured to carry liquid fertilizer alone. The combination configuration eliminates problems associated with multi-cart operation such as ground compaction. The unit’s front castor wheel makes it more manoeuvrable.
Units feature high flotation tires, cone bottom tanks and ground-driven metering pumps. Capacities range from 1,200 to 2,400 Imp. gallons for the liquid fertilizer tank-only configuration and 1,200 gal. and 160 bushels in the combo configuration.

New canola varieties
Dow AgroSciences has received registration for two new Nexera brand herbicide tolerant canola varieties that feature high-oleic and low-linolenic acid.
The Clearfield tolerant varieties are part of the Nexera 800 series.
Nex 822 CL matures one day earlier than 46A76, is tall, has very good ratings for early season vigour and lodging resistance and an R rating for Blackleg resistance. It yields about five percent better than the checks Q2 and 46A65.
Nex 824 CL matures two days later than 46A76, is medium tall, has good resistance to lodging, very good early season vigour and an R rating for blackleg. It yields about 10 percent better than the checks.

Compact excavators
Komatsu Canada has three new compact excavators, the PC35MRx-2, PC50MRx-2 and PC78MR-6.
The size of the operator’s compartment has been expanded for easier access and operation.
Cabs and air conditioning are optional.
Depending on the model, maximum digging depth ranges from 10 feet 5 inches to 13 feet, eight inches.
Digging force ranges from 6,720 to 13,780 pounds.

Cleaning system
The Cleaning System Repair Kit provides solutions to problems associated with the cleaning systems in Case IH long sieve combines, models 1680, 1688, 2188 and 2388.
The kit can address problems that can lead to broken sieves, bearing support failure, broken drive shaft, bushing failures, tailing auger trough damage, and other damage not associated with normal wear and tear.
The kit can be installed in about eight hours.
