High-clearance sprayer
Spray-Air Technologies Ltd. has introduced a new high-clearance, auto-fold, pull-type sprayer.
The model 3200 has the Trident boom spraying system. It has three systems in one: ShearGuard Plus air shear; air assist conventional hydraulic; and TeeJet conventional hydraulic dripless assembly with ShearGuard Plus nozzles on 10-inch (25 centimetre) spacing and 15 degree forward angle.
Its PTO-driven fan runs at 1,000 rpm.
It has a hydraulic centrifugal Ace pump.
The tank holds 2,840 litres, has jet agitation, top and bottom fill, two large sumps at front and back and top rinsing jets.

New herd sire
Alta Genetics has released Lystel Leduc Holstein sire.
With a +17 conformation, Leduc is Canada’s top type sire.
Leduc’s production proof is +1,327 kilogram milk, +60 kg fat, and +40 kg protein.
The bull is the only sire with double-digit figures for all 10 major type breakdowns.
Leduc is a Jed son from Comstar L’Or Black VG87-5YR-CAN.

Construction clamp
Westside Innovations has introduced a new clamp for constructing corrals, bunk feeders and other farm structures.
The clamp is made of three-sixteenth inch plate steel and connects two-inch pipe to 3.5 in. pipe.
The ease of installation and removal gives producers greater flexibility in corral design.
The clamp is manufactured by Creative Enterprises.

A beef cattle handbook is available on CD ROM.
The CD contains 145 articles and extension bulletins in PDF format on topics including reproduction, range management and facilities.
The authors are from universities such as Kansas State, Oklahoma State and Texas A&M.

HerdSecure, which helps implement a disease-prevention plan, has three facets: the animals and how they are handled; the people who are in contact with the herd; and the vaccination program.

Weight data collection
Digi-Star has introduced a new data collection system for livestock weighing.
The Stockweigh Datamaster Indicator is a portable weighing and recording system that weighs, sorts, records and visually presents information.
The full alpha numeric LCD display-line reader and keyboard allow the user to key in information pertaining to individually weighed animals.
It can sort information by weight, placing each animal into weight groups that the user has specified. This information can be printed out.
