Gleaner expands line

Gleaner has added the 245-bushel R55 to its Five Series rotary combine line, which also includes the R65 and R75.

The R55 comes with a 230-horsepower turbocharged, six-cylinder, Cummins engine. The four-speed, hydrotraction drive transmission offers three field gears with speeds reaching almost 17 km-h. The fourth gear reduces transport time between fields with road speeds up to about 32 km-h.

Its one-piece, all-welded mainframe gives the R55 greater strength while reducing maintenance by keeping shafts, bearings and sprockets in true alignment. The centre-line arrangement and balanced weight distribution are designed to stabilize the combine while reducing field compaction by spreading the load across a wider area.

VIDEO: Green Lightning and Nytro Ag win sustainability innovation award

Nytro Ag Corp and Green Lightning recieved an innovation award at Ag in Motion 2025 for the Green Lightning Nitrogen Machine, which converts atmospheric nitrogen into a plant-usable form.

Inside, a console attached to the driver’s seat provides fingertip control of combine functions including header adjustment, unload auger control, ground speed and direction. A monitor provides visual and audio monitoring of critical functions.

The R55 is equipped with the Fieldstar precision agriculture system, which collects site-specific data from the field and the machine. The information collected can be viewed or printed in-cab or downloaded for later analysis.

Westendorf scrapers

Westendorf Manufacturing has a new land scraper for landscaping, forming and maintaining drainage ditches, constructing terraces, removing snow and spreading rocks or gravel.

The scraper is available in eight, 10 and 12-foot models and comes with a six-inch high carbon steel cutting edge. Its hubs and bearings are interchangeable with Westendorf’s standard WW-1610 wagon.

The land scraper features grease zerks at all pivot points, a gauge rod to show cutting depth, a heavy three-inch lift cylinder and 15-inch standard rims.

It also has an extra strong tongue constructed of square tubular steel and a large weight box which provides additional cutting pressure. The land scraper’s patented system allows each wheel to be adjusted independently to provide a maximum 12-inch tilt on the cutting bar. Tilt adjustments can be made by a manual crank or with the optional hydraulic cylinder.

The Westendorf land scraper has a heavy jack stand that provides easy hookup to pickups. An optional travel lock ensures safe transport over long distances.

For more information on the scraper, write to Westendorf Manufacturing Co., Box 29, Onawa, Iowa, 51040, U.S.A. visit www.loader.com or call 712-423-2762.
