Silage bales

Vermeer Manufacturing Co. has introduced a new bale wrapper designed for silage bales. A bale is manually loaded onto the SW2500’s variable speed turntable. As the bale spins and the table turns, pre-tensioned plastic film wraps and seals the bale. Bumpers retain the bale and keep it from shifting.

Once wrapped, the table tilts and puts the bale on the ground. The wrapper can handle bales weighing up to 1,130 kilograms (2,500 pounds) that are 1.5 metres in width. One set of auxiliary hydraulics is required to operate the wrapper. Hitch height is adjustable from 33 to 56 centimetres. Options include a counter that counts each bale and the number of revolutions needed to wrap it, transport warning lights and a safety chain.
