Telehandler
John Deere’s new 3800 Articulated Telehandler is rated at 110
horsepower.
The four-cylinder, 4.5 litre PowerTech engine has a dual temperature
cooling system that features independent, maintenance-free heat
exchangers.
A closed-centre, load-sensing hydraulic system allows the operator to
perform three to four functions at once, such as raising and extending
the boom, and then dumping material at the same time.
The high-capacity gear pump delivers 28 gallons per minute at 3,335
psi. An oil-to-water hydraulic oil cooler maintains optimal working

temperatures in any condition.
The unit features a two-piece chassis held together by a heavy-duty
90-degree pivot joint. Mounted within the boom head is a z-bar linkage
maximizing the carrier angle for crowding and dumping, resulting in a
166 degree rotation.
The main boom pivot point is mounted higher to provide more lift
height, forward reach and faster cycle times.

ATV for two
Bombardier has a new all-terrain vehicle specifically designed for two
riders. The Traxter Max design incorporates more than an extra seat.
For stability, the frame has been extended by 10 inches, allowing the
rider and passenger to be positioned in front of the rear axle.
The step-up passenger seat, handholds and raised foot boards are
integrated components.
Up front, the step-through design allows the driver to mount without
disturbing the passenger.
The unit is powered by a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 498 cc Rotax
engine and Visco Lok all-wheel-drive optimized traction system.
It has a towing capacity of 500 kilograms and a tongue capacity of 14
kg.

Heavy hay handler
The new ProAg Designs line of hay handling equipment from Morris
Industries Inc. allows one operator to do the work of several people.
The Auto Align Bale Runner picks up and stacks up to 100 tons of
rectangular bales per hour.
The 12K model can stack four, four-by-four foot bales, six
three-by-four bales or 12 three-by-three bales. The larger 16K model
will hand up to 16 three-by-three bales
The Bale Runner works on wet or dry bales and can be pulled by a
tractor or truck.
The unit runs directly behind the truck or tractor in transit, but
swings to the side during pick up and stacking.
The hydraulically operated alignment arms automatically position the
bales. The arms raise two bales at a time to the trailer, where the
Power Slider pushes them back.
At the stack, the trailer bed raises vertically and the Bale Runner
pushes the load against the stack. The operator drives away and the
unit automatically retracts to the in-line position for transit.
The operations are computer controlled.
The trailer has tandem axles and high flotation tires. It is less than
10 feet wide.
For smaller operations, the Auto Align Bale Skoop allows one person to
pick up and stack 30-50 tons per hour. It operates in a similar manner
to the Bale Runner, but picks up one bale per cycle instead of two.

Seed block sensor
Agtron’s rugged new ARM Air Seeder Blockage Sensors resist static
electricity and inoculant buildups.
The sensor body is made of glass-filled plastic, making it damage
resistant.
The collet-type hose connection eliminates the need for screws and hose
adapters, provides secure sealing between the sensor and the hose, and
makes it easier to remove when cleaning out plugged hoses.
The straight-flow design provides maximum flow for seed and fertilizer.
Available for 11/4, one, 15/16, and 7/8 inch inside diameter hoses.
Sensor electronic circuits and materials have been redesigned to resist
high static electricity charges.
The sensors have extra optics for increased accuracy and are less prone
to inoculant blur. This gives better seed pick up, especially for
canola.
The sensors are compatible with original Agtron AR99 sensors.
