Manure tanks
A.O. Smith Engineered Storage Products has introduced the Series 2000 Slurrystore above-ground manure holding tanks.
The series has 29 sizes and is designed for large livestock enterprises. The largest capacity is 17.4 million litres.
Based on twice a year emptying, the Series 2000 can handle a 1,400-cow dairy, a 20,000-hog finishing operation or a 1,800-sow, farrow-to-finish farm.
The structures can be equipped with an assortment of agitation options.

Self-propelled sprayer
New Holland has introduced a new self-propelled sprayer.
The SF550 sprayer has a full time four-wheel hydrostatic drive and is designed for custom applicators and large farms. It has a 152-h.p. Cummins turbo-charged, six-cylinder engine and speeds of 18 to 42 km-h.
Hydraulic wheel track adjustments from 2.4 metres (96 inches) to three metres (120 in.) can be made manually or, with an optional upgrade, from the cab.
There are three tank options: 1,900-litre poly, 1,900-L stainless steel and 2,500-L stainless steel.
It is available with an 18 metre (60 ft.) or 18-24-metre (60-80 ft.) self-leveling boom.

New patching material
Barrier Coatings is moving into the agricultural market with its line of concrete sealers and patching materials.
Barrier 470 DPS is a non toxic deep penetrating sealer for new or existing concrete. It hardens the concrete, reduces dust and makes it waterproof.
It reduces freeze-thaw spalling, eliminates powdering and prevents chemical corrosion. Its agricultural uses include grain storage bins, fertilizer storage, hog barns and farm supply warehouses.
Mg-Krete is a concrete repair material for shallow feathering or deep pours. It cures rapidly, forming a strong bond and is stronger than concrete after two hours of drying.
It is waterproof, resistant to oils, gasoline and salt and is approved by Agriculture Canada for incidental food contact.
It is a two component product available in regular and fine grades.
