Chipper shredder

Bush Hog’s new line of chipper-shredders consists of three models: The CS-100P p.t.o. model designed for three-point hitch 18-35 horsepowers tractors; the CS-130T model with a 13 horsepower Honda electric-start engine and the CS-180T model with an 18 horsepower electric-start engine. The latter two models can both be highway towed.

All three models feature a standard four centimetre grate. Options include a blower attachment package, vacuum attachment package, leaf grate, 1.3 cm grate and 1.9 cm grate.

The blower attachment allows the operator to direct the flow of chips and blow them up to 6.2 metres. The vacuum attachment is used for picking up leaves. Its hose is 4.6 m long and 15 cm in diameter.

Mini sawmill

Jonsered’s new mini sawmill, called the 600+, is powered by the Jonsered 2095 Turbo chainsaw with a 95 cubic cm, seven horsepower engine. The mill consists of one saw carriage and two or more rail sections placed on the ground. A log is rolled into place, rather than lifted, the desired log diameter is adjusted and the saw carriage is rolled along the log.

Cutting depth can be adjusted continuously from three millimetres to 50 x 50 centimetre beams.

The sawmill is supplied with two three-metre rail sections able to cut lengths of 5.2 m. Additional 1.5 or three-metre sections can be added.

The chainsaw’s turbo air-cleaning system removes most dirt and sawdust from the intake before it reaches the filter, allowing the sawmill to run all day without interruptions for cleaning the filter or adjusting the carburetor. A decompression valve makes the chainsaw easy to start.

Post-hole diggers

Shaver Manufacturing Co. has recently introduced two new models of hydraulic post-hole diggers. The model 510 and 1020 feature enclosed gearbox, replaceable cutting teeth and points, Eaton motor and few moving parts.

Four mounting options are available: tractor, boom or three-point mount; front-end loader, universal bucket mount with turnbuckle; front-end loader, universal bucket mount, bolt-on; skid-steer loader, fast-tach mount.

Unlike p.t.o. driven diggers, the Shaver digger reverses, allowing the operator to reverse out of a hole, an advantage in tough or wet conditions. An optional down-pressure module can be used on the tractor-mounted version.
