Tractor

New Holland has introduced a new line of 240-425 horsepower four wheel drive tractors. The five model 84 series will replace the 82 series.

They are powered by Cummins diesel engines.

All models are available with Quadra-Sync II 12-by-four transmission with three ranges and four synchronized, sequential speeds within each range.

The system allows the operator to change speed sequentially within a range using only one lever.

Improved hydraulics provide more flow to the remotes, up to 50 gpm on the two larger models. Flow controls are mounted in the cab.

Farm tires

Goodyear has expanded its DuraTorque line of rear bias farm tires.

There are now eight new sizes, ranging from 8.3-24 to 18.4-38.

The bias tire is engineered to resist field hazards, including stubble damage, because its wide tread arc better protects the carcass. The flat tread radius improves the tire’s footprint, resulting in better traction, slower wear and more uniform ground pressure.
