Micro-Trak Systems has redesigned its series of monitors for application equipment.
The Calc-an-acre LR is an electronic monitor that keeps track of ground speed and distance traveled and has two area counters with independent resets.
The redesigned Flow-trak LR sprayer monitor helps to eliminate herbicide waste and improve consistency. It gives speed, spray rate, total amount applied and other information.
The MT-2400 helps with chemical and anhydrous applications. It monitors application and flow rates, total flow, speed, distance and area per hour plus two area counters. It can be used with existing remote boom control switches and manual sprayer control systems.

Low rider
Freightliner has introduced the C112 truck tractor with a low-ride option. It provides a one-metre fifth wheel height – 20 centimetres lower than standard – as well as low profile tires and aluminum wheels.
It has a new electronic braking system and an advanced occupant restraint system that automatically tensions the seat belt in crashes and lowers the driver’s seat away from the roof and steering wheel in milliseconds.
Later this year a new collision warning radar system will be available which will alert drivers to slow-moving or stopped vehicles up to 105 metres ahead of the truck.
