Log splitter
Bachtold Bros. has introduced a vertical log splitter.
The TRV-26 allows people to roll logs up to 26 inches (66 centimetres) in diameter into splitting position without lifting the wood off the ground.
More powerful shearing action, coupled with the rectangular tube design of the splitter’s main beam, offers greater strength and longer-lasting durability than units with the traditional I-beam design. The unit is rated at 16 tonnes of force and is available with a standard Briggs and Stratton five horsepower engine for optional 5.5-h.p. overhead valve Honda engine.

Cattle software
SoftPro Business solutions has introduced two software programs for cattle producers.
GrazePro helps producers with decisions about rotational grazing and eases the tedium of record keeping and planning.
GrazePro was created so ranchers can evaluate such things as whether it pays to fertilize.
“If you want a simplified way of making a grazing plan and a simplified way of recording what you have done, GrazePro will do it,” states a company news release.
ProCow is a cow-calf herd management program. It can handle multiple herds and track pedigree and progeny.
It helps manage and analyze reproduction records and creates breeding, calving, vaccinating, or weaning records. It generates production reports by cows, calves or bulls, as well as action and summary reports.
The software indexes cows and calves and allows producers to enter photos, body condition, cow defects and bull fertility
