Cat loaders
Caterpillar’s new multi-terrain loaders feature turbo-charged engines with more power and a variety of design changes designed to improve reliability and maintenance.
The 267B, 277B and 287B loaders are compact rubber-tracked machines designed for traction, stability and versatility. New models combine Caterpillar’s skid steer technology and a suspended track undercarriage. All three are powered by Cat 3.3-litre turbocharged 3044 DIT diesel engines, producing up to 78 horsepower.
The 287B has an operating capacity of 1,632 kilograms at 50 percent of tipping load.
The loaders also feature an anti-stall system, joystick controls and redesigned gauges. Door and windows have more glass and better sightlines.

Magnetic flow meters
Lindsay Manufacturing Co. of Omaha, Nebraska, has a new line of GrowSmart flow meters for irrigation systems. They feature an electromagnetic meter instead of moving parts. The new magnetic flow meter is simple to install.
It is more expensive than most mechanical meters but the lack of moving parts means no complications with rotors or bearings. The meter is ideal in corrosive and dirty water environments.
Its technology provides superior accuracy and performance over a wide range of flows.
Its shallow insertion depth provides non-intrusive measurements that are displayed on a FieldBoss screen or on an optional rate and totalizer display.
