Fuel enhancer
TCB Manufacturing has developed REDTEK fuel enhancer, a product designed to combat the loss of horsepower associated with re-formulated fuels. The manufacturer reports users see horsepower increase by up to 30 percent, along with fuel savings of 20 percent. The enhancer provides anti-gel protection to -50¡C, cleans and lubricates injectors and dissipates water in the fuel system. When added to storage tanks, it stabilizes the fuel and prevents stratification and oxidation.
REDTEK is super-concentrated: Up to 9,700 litres of fuel can be treated with 3.78 litres (one U.S. gallon) of the enhancer. It is available in 3.78 and 19-litre containers (one and five-U.S. gallons). The product can be used in gas or diesel engines — including tractors, auger motors, chainsaws, passenger cars and trucks.

Treating mastitis
Veterinarians now have a rapid test to determine the most effective antibiotic in treating mastitis. Called Mastik, the test can provide antibiotic sensitivity results in as little as four hours in cases of coliform mastitis, eight to 12 hours for lactating cows and 12-18 hours for cows with chronic cases of the disease or that are drying off. Sterile milk samples can be collected by the producer.

Protecting sprayer tanks
Western Equipment Covers has designed covers that are resistant to ultra violet light which protect the oval-shaped plastic tanks on Bourgault, Brandt, Flexi-Coil and Harmon sprayers.
The 10-oz. weft-inserted P.V.C. covers also resist rot and mildew and won’t crack at temperatures down to -40¡C. They’re made to fit tanks holding 830-850 gallons (3,770-3,865 litres) and are held in place with a six-mm shock cord sewn into the bottom edge.
