Massey swather
The Massey Ferguson 200 series self-propelled swather, with its hydro-mechanical system, delivers performance, control and efficiency. The 88 horsepower, four-cylinder diesel engine is quiet and rugged. MF draper headers are designed to produce ideal swaths with all heads evenly distributed across the top of the windrow for fast dry-down.
Choose from headers that are strictly centre-delivery or double-swath capacity. On the double-swath header, quick conversion from single to double windrows means locking a latch and pushing a button. Swath openings on 22-30 ft. (6.8-9.2 metre) headers can be adjusted from 1.2-1.5 m to produce an optimum windrow. Wheelbase on the swather measures 3.5 m; stance measures 2.7 m and underframe clearance measures .95 m.

Portable stump grinder
Partner’s lightweight, portable stump grinder works for both the contractor and the homeowner. Weighing just 20 kg, the machine is designed for easy, walk-behind control. The 20-cm blade eats away stumps, while the machine is steadily rocked back-and-forth. A hand throttle controls the 70 cc engine. Adjustable handles allow the unit to be operated at the appropriate angle. The average stump can be reduced to sawdust in half an hour. Fuel tank capacity allows a running time of about 45 minutes. The unit folds for storage; it fits in a truck, the trunk of a car or a hatchback.

Dairy cattle vaccine
Vetrepharm Canada Inc., has introduced a new line of vaccines made specifically for dairy cattle. The vaccines will go under the trade name “Dairymune”. Dairymune 4 will protect against IBR-PI3-BVD-BSRV while Dairymune 9 will protect against that same combination of diseases plus five-way leptospirosis.
According to Vetrepharm research director Ken Armstrong: “The lactating dairy cow presents a particular challenge when it comes to vaccination. The challenge is to stimulate an immune response without compromising safety or affecting milk production in an animal that’s struggling to maintain an energy balance.” Dairymune vaccines use only killed antigens in combination with a Vetrepharm stimulant called Immunostim. Pregnant cows can be vaccinated at any stage of gestation.
