To manage waterways, point rows and uneven headlands, the index boom section is standard equipment. When the sprayer approaches a waterway that runs at an angle to the machine, the operator can press a button on the hydrostatic handle to shut off individual boom sections and eliminate spraying in the waterway.
The electronically controlled automatic four-wheel-drive system features two hydrostatic pumps that drive four bent-axis wheel motors and four massive final drives.
A thumb switch on the hydro handle adjusts target speed settings, and when the operator pushes the hydro handle clear forward, the sprayer will move to the target speed.
A slip control option ensures that the sprayer will perform on steep grades.
A high-flow plumbing system features a three by two-inch solution pump with the capacity to deliver 15 to 200 gallons per minute.
A two-by-1.5-inch solution pump is also available.
Parallel tracking or GreenStar AutoTrac assisted steering can be used with the sprayer.

Fluent monitor
The Fluent NH3 monitor is a compact, wireless system that allows producers to monitor the fluid level in an anhydrous nurse tank without leaving the cab.
There are two units, one for the tank and one for the cab.
The tank unit clamps to the nurse tank’s existing float gauge mechanism and takes periodic fluid level measurements. Software accounts for sloshing and uneven terrain for accurate measurement.
Installation requires no tools.
The data is transmitted to the receiver in the cab. It calculates additional information such as the average application rate per acre and the amount of time remaining until the tank is empty.
The product is distributed in Canada by Spray Air Technologies Ltd.

Teat sealant
Pfizer Animal Health has introduced a device for improving dairy herd health and performance.
OrbeSeal is a smooth, off-white sterile paste that contains 65 percent bismuth subnitrate. It is an internal sealant that is infused into the teat cistern of dairy cows at time of drying off and lasts throughout the dry cow period, even prepartum, when cows are the most susceptible to mastitis pathogens.
OrbeSeal mimics the natural defence of a keratin plug to prevent bacteria from entering the teat.
By reducing new intramammary infections it can lower somatic cell counts and reduce the need to treat for mastitis.
