Boar cart

Minitube Canada has added the Detect-o-max remote-controlled boar cart to its line of artificial insemination equipment.

The battery-powered cart, which can move backward and forward through barn aisles, has an adjustable bar to keep the boar standing and a removable side panel that directs the boar’s attention to one side or the other.

Minitube says this ensures direct nose-to-nose contact with sows for stimulation and accurate heat detection.

The cart comes in stainless steel or galvanized metal with models available in 62.2 centimetre (24.5 inch) and 66 cm (26 inch) widths.

Shock kit

Loewen Manufacturing has introduced a new feeder chain shock kit for Gleaner combines to improve feeding. Designed for Gleaner R series P3 pro-cessors, the shock kit allows the front drum of the rear chair to float, taking away the bunching problem that occurs as material is transferred between chains.

Because the smooth feeding eliminates wads and lumps, rumbling in the cage is silenced and capacity is increased. For more information, contact Loewen Manufacturing, Box 820, Altona, Man., R0G 0B0 or phone 800-667-5082 or fax 204-324-1288.
