VIDEO: Green Lightning and Nytro Ag win sustainability innovation award

Nytro Ag Corp and Green Lightning recieved an innovation award at Ag in Motion 2025 for the Green Lightning Nitrogen Machine, which converts atmospheric nitrogen into a plant-usable form.

The MarkerMaster allows the equipment operator to, with the touch of a button, retract a maker at the end of a field and extend it again once the turn is complete.

The system replaces sequence valves and selectors that are standard equipment on most marker systems. The unit also automatically tops-up marker cylinders every minute.

The system includes a three-button control box for the tractor cab, an electric over hydraulic manifold and wiring.

Optional equipment includes extension wire harness for use in systems where seed tanks are towed between the tractor and implement.

Registration for micronutrient

Stoller Enterprises has received registration approval from Agriculture Canada for five granular soil micronutrient products.

The products are:

Micromate NS copper zinc, Micromate NS zinc-manganese, Micromate magnesium and Micromate 2032 (20 percent copper, 32 percent zinc, four percent sulfur) and Micromate 360 (36 percent zinc, five percent nitrogen and 12 percent sulfur.)

Micromate lines are uniform in regard to content of plant food, particle size, hardness and are dust-free to reduce the potential for caking and segregation.

A key factor in making micronutrients available to the plant is solubility. The NS version solves the problem by acidifying the soil around the particle.

Because of its lower analysis, more pounds per acre are used, giving roots more contact point to access the micronutrients.

For more information call Stoller Enterprises at 403-309-5130 or in Manitoba call 204-895-9685, or write Stoller at Bay 6, 4630 61 St., Red Deer, Alta., T4N 2R2.

Hose hookup

Schumacher Co. has introduced the SCH Easy Connect Hydraulic Male Tip that allows hoses to be hooked up while under pressure. A pin on the nipple of the male tip pushes against the nipple of the female end until the female end opens completely and bottoms out.

When pushed, the pin is pushed backwards into the male nipple and opens a pressure relief valve.

Pressure on the male side is released and the oil flows past the pin into the female end. Continued pushing caused the male nipple to open the bodies to couple.

The tip connects to any standard female end, ISO 5675 and ASAE 366.

Seed drill

Great Plains Manufacturing has a new 24-foot, three-point seed drill.

The model 2400 with straight arm openers or the 2410 with parallel arm openers are appropriate for conventional or no-till farming.

The side depth control openers on the 2420 provide maximum depth control in low residue, stale seedbed conditions.

The seed boxes have a capacity of 57.6 bushels.

The 2400 is available in six, seven, 7.5, eight or 10-inch row spacing. The 2410 and 2420 also have a range of row spacing.

Standard equipment includes dual gauge wheels, wide seed cups and seed level indicators.
