Natural lighting
Aurora Lite Systems has introduced a new way to funnel sunlight into buildings.
The Sun-Lite is a tube that brings natural light into any building. It is made from reflective aluminum pipe. A reflector mounted above the roof directs light down the tube into a translucent dome that diffuses it through the interior.
The company says the system allows natural lighting without the heat loss or gain associated with windows and skylights.
The units come in three sizes that can light areas of 200 to 850 sq. ft.

Ozone generator
Envron Environmental has introduced an ozone generator described as a low-cost alternative to chemical-based ammonia scrubbers for chicken and hog operations.
The system is designed to remove ammonia, smoke, hydrogen sulfide, methane, ketone, hydrocarbons and other organic substances from the air.
The generator creates ozone from oxygen. Ozone is a cleaning, purification and oxidizing agent. It has been used in non-farming industry to control air and water pollution.
Envron Environmental says the system is easy to install and does not require extensive barn alterations.

Belt conveyor
Patz has introduced a belt conveyor that allows loading of open-top semi-trailers, trucks and storage bins automatically.
The Model 2405 conveyor is powered by a gear motor and positive roller chain track drive.
It can move feeds, sawdust, compost and other bulk materials.
The open pan design provides for extra capacity and reduces belt friction. Also, bottom wheels carry the belt on its return to reduce friction.
Covers are available to protect material and the conveyor from wind, rain and other contaminants.
Precision bearings are sealed and greaseable. The galvanized steel, bolt-together conveyor sections resist rust.
