Pre-Oiler
Oak Hill Manufacturing has introduced the Engine Pre-Oiler.
The manufacturer says the unit can extend engine life by ensuring oil pressure is in the bearings and all internal parts when the engine starts.
In normal circumstances, an engine can turn over several times before oil is fully distributed throughout the engine.
The Engine Pre-Oiler holds oil under compression equal to the engine’s oil pressure until the engine is started.
About two litres of oil must be added to the crankcase to charge the pre-oiler. The unit comes with a manual or an optional electric solenoid. Also optional is a heater for winter operation.
