Multi-purpose tillage
Glencoe’s Unimulch 6000 combines the tillage action of a disc, the ruggedness of a heavy-duty field cultivator and provides the quality seedbed of a finishing tool. The machine will help reduce fuel costs, and reduce erosion and compaction.
The Unimulch has a five-bar heavy-duty frame equipped with auto reset style shanks that utilize 550 lbs. of point pressure. Spring-loaded, adjustable depth disc gangs, featuring 50-cm (20-inch) discs and 46-cm (18-inch) feathering discs, can be added to the base unit. Also, a choice of four seedbed tools can be added including five- or eight-bar spike-tooth harrows, rolling reels and five-bar spike-tooth harrows and tandem treaders.
This versatility allows the Unimulch 6000 to be set up for specific soil and residue conditions and incorporation requirements. It can handle tillage requirements ranging from working standing cornstalks in the fall to single pass seedbed preparation in the spring.
The Unimulch 6000 is available in 6.5 m (21-ft), 7.8 m (25.5-ft) and 9.2-m (30-ft) models, requiring eight-10 horsepower per foot depending on conditions.

Portable heater
The Maxi-Heat portable heater-generator unit solves the problem of cold weather work conditions by providing heated air to a job site. Maxi-Heat can be used to preheat equipment, keep workers comfortable or prevent materials from freezing. The unit is powered by a 1,800 r.p.m. Lister-cooled diesel engine, with a large-capacity fuel tank that allows unattended operation for 24 hours if necessary. A built-in 6.5-kilowatt or optional 8-kW generator operates the fan motors, as well as providing auxiliary power for tools and lights. A heater draws in and heats outside air, rather than using combustion air, to deliver warmth without fumes. Burner units are enclosed and combustion gases are exhausted away from the machine. The enclosed burner units are rated at a total output of one million BTU per hour. Optional 30-cm ducting can be used to distribute the air up to seven metres away from the heater.
