Pharmacia & Upjohn Animal Health in Canada has launched a website.
The site provides detailed Canadian information about Pharmacia & Upjohn’s animal health products, including Excenel, Lutalyse, Lincomix and Pirsue.
The site also offers direct e-mail links to Pharmacia & Upjohn sales, technical services and marketing staff across Canada and at the company’s Orangeville, Ont.headquarters.
It also features corporate information and a “what’s new” section with regular updates on company and product developments.

New tractors
Massey Ferguson has introduced seven new heavy-duty large farm 8200 series tractors from 135 to 225 horsepower for heavy tillage, haying and large loader applications.
The 160, 180, 200 and 225 h.p. models have electronically controlled full Powershift transmissions with 18 forward and six reverse speeds and clutchless power shuttle.
The 135, 145 and 165 h.p. tractors have the MF Dynashift transmission with a combination of a four-speed Powershift in each of eight synchronized gears providing 32 forward and 32 reverse gears and a mechanical shuttle.
Creeper feature
A creeper gear with a four-to-one reduction in ground speed is available with the Powershift and Dynashift transmissions.
There are new front and rear axles matched to tractor size and horsepower to put more power to the ground.
The 135 and 145 h.p. models have two-wheel and four-wheel drive, while the larger units are all four-wheel drive. A high capacity electronic three-point hitch is standard.

High-powered tire
Goodyear has introduced a new tire for high-horsepower tractors.
The 800/70R38 is 206 centimetres (81.1 inches) in diameter with a 79 cm (31.1 in.) cross section, which is about 7.5 centimetres (three inches) wider than the next widest tire in the DT820 line.
The tire has a load index of 173, accommodating most four-wheel drive tractors up to 500 horsepower when applied in a dual configuration. For lower soil compaction, the weight is distributed over a flat surface area of 1,643 sq. cm (647 sq. inches.)
The line features deep lug treads for self-cleaning.

Draper header
New Holland has introduced a combine draper header for the company’s self-propelled windrowers.
The Model 994S Grain Belt draper header fits the HW series of New Holland Speed-rowers, as well as models 2450 and 2550.
The cutting width ranges from 5.5 to 11 metres (18 to 36 feet.)
Draper headers can be used to swath cereals and special crops. The large diameter bat reel, or optional pickup reel, provides good cleaning, while the low-profile cutterbar and lateral float system allows cutting of short crops.
The floating feed auger and the extra-long, retractable fingers, combined with the extra-wide single centre belt result in high capacity harvesting.
The auger is under the feeding housing to keep grain from twisting and tangling.
The system is hydraulically driven.
All models offer single and double knife drives and include a choice of large diameter bat reels, UII pick-up reel or HCC pick-up wheel.
