Solids separator
A. O. Smith Engineered Storage Products has introduced a new solids separator for use with above-ground Slurrystore dairy manure tanks.
The Sierra KP-10 uses a stainless steel auger turning inside a perforated screen to squeeze liquid from the manure.
Solids can be composted and sold as fertilizer. Properly handled, the composed material can be used as bedding. The time spent applying liquid manure to fields can be reduced and stored liquid manure with less solids has less odor.
The unit is powered with a 7.5 h.p. electric motor.

Roll system for trucks
Shur-Co has introduced a low-priced version of its Shur-Lok Roll System for farm trucks.
Called the TSP, the new system has galvanized steel latchplate and end caps, a polyester ridge rope, one-piece tubular handle and two offset crank retainers with snap pins and cable keepers. It has the standard Shur-Lok roll return.
The 18-oz. vinyl coated polyester tarp has a width of about three metres and is available in red, white, black or blue.

Mixer-feeder
Patz has introduced the model 3100 high-gain mixer-feeder for the beef industry.
The rugged design can carry high density rations across uneven surfaces. The open top unit blends and mixes grain, concentrate and materials less than 2.5 centimetres in length.
A planetary gearbox reduction from the PTO shaft allows low-speed roller chain drive for less wear on the chain and sprockets. There is a choice of belt and auger discharge lengths.

Rust stain solution
Rust-B-Gone is a spray on/rinse off solution used to dissolve rust stains.
It can be used outside on home siding and sidewalks or inside on sinks, toilets and dishwashers.
The distributor says the product is safe to use on wood and painted surfaces, aluminum siding and concrete.
