More power for big farms
New Holland is introducing a new 500 hp tractor to its four-wheel drive TJ tractor line.
The TJ500S offers power growth of up to 50 hp and a torque rise of 39 percent, allowing it to pull bigger and heavier equipment even in tough conditions.
The TJ500 has the same frame and components as the TJ450, but operates 100 rpms faster than the TJ450. It has a larger air induction system, uses larger tires, has improved hydraulics, and uses a 24-volt starting system with a 12-volt operating system.

VIDEO: Green Lightning and Nytro Ag win sustainability innovation award
Nytro Ag Corp and Green Lightning recieved an innovation award at Ag in Motion 2025 for the Green Lightning Nitrogen Machine, which converts atmospheric nitrogen into a plant-usable form.
The TJ500 is powered by a fuel-efficient Cummins QSX 15L engine. A 16-speed full powershift transmission allows for smooth shifting and fingertip control. The tractor also has a standard 42 gallon per minute hydraulic pump capacity, integral hydraulic wet disk brakes, and a 300 gallon fuel tank.
The TJ500 can be equipped with New Holland’s MegaFlow hydraulics, which offers up to 90 gpm of hydraulic flow through two independent pump systems.

Spray in style
The Case IH SPX4410 Patriot sprayer has improved engine, drive and plumbing systems as well as simplified serviceability.
It has full-time four wheel drive and a new Case IH 8.3 litre, six cylinder, 280 hp electronic engine. Peak engine power can grow to up to 307 hp in tough conditions, with a torque rise of more than 334 foot pounds.
It uses an expanded cooling package and an electronic fuel injection system with improved engine diagnostics. In addition, “cruise control” is standard equipment with the SPX4410’s hydrostatic transmission.
The delivery system allows liquid chemical and fertilizer applications, and there is a choice of standard-, high- and low-flow boom plumbing, delivering as little as two gallons-per-acre flow with low-flow plumbing or as much as 60 gallons-per-acre flow at 24 km-h with high-flow plumbing.
Bypass plumbing has been replaced with a variable-speed pump regulated by pulse width modulated hydraulics. The new design allows for longer pump life and improved performance.
The service centre has been simplified with the introduction of an electronic engine, and pulse width modulated hydraulics eliminate the need for manual control of the servo valve when filling.

Long-lasting ileitis protection
Boehringer Inglheim has introduced a new product for managing ileitis in pigs.
Enterisol Ileitis, an alternative to in-feed antibiotics, is an avirulent Lawsonia intracellularis vaccine that is packaged frozen. Because uptake is through water consumption, it provides protection to the whole herd.
The label states the product delivers seven weeks of immunity, but the company said U.S. field experience shows vaccination with the product provides protection all the way to slaughter.
The vaccine also addresses consumers’ concerns about antibiotic use in livestock.
