All-purpose tractor
The Valtra X all-purpose tractor series has articulated frame steering
and is available in three four-cylinder models of 100, 110 and 120
horsepower. With a maximum joint turning angle of 42 degrees and a
turning circle diameter of less than 10 metres, the X Series tractor
offers excellent manoeuvrability for farm and forestry applications.
The optional TwinTrac reverse drive control enables the tractor to be
operated in both directions. The power control system in the HiTech
transmission allows the driver to change direction and adjust speeds

easily. The rear wheels follow the front-wheel tracks, reducing damage
to crops. The X Series range of specially designed front loaders with
independent p.t.o. and three-point linkage enhance the tractor’s
versatility, turning it into a multi-purpose machine.
The loader can be equipped with various implements, like a harvester
for thinning forest or a brush for street cleaning. When lifting,
hydraulic stabilizing cylinders support the front axle for increased
stability. The loader has its own variable capacity pump located in
front of the crankshaft, providing a maximum capacity of 132 litres per
minute. For more information, contact a Valtra dealer or visit the

Canola guide
The Canola Council of Canada has produced a four page guide to help

Sprayer tips
Lechler, Inc. has introduced ID Air Induction Tips that maximize spray
coverage and minimize drifting. The design produces uniform, large
droplets, reduced spray drift and effective coverage. The tips are
available in 80 or 110 degree spray angles. The single-body nozzle has
an easily removable injector for cleaning.
The new tips fit existing spraying bodies. Nozzle tips are
automatically aligned and the side air intake avoids clogging.
Pressure transitions during spraying do not cause bursts of mist that
could drift. The ceramic insert provides significantly longer life for
optimum, consistent spray performance.

Charles, Illinois, 60174, U.S.A., phone 630-377- 6611 fax 630-377-6657,

Combination gasket
TeeJet has combined its most commonly used nozzles, the Extended Range
XR and Air Induction AI, with the Quick TeeJet cap to form one part.
The gasket, which assures a seal between the nozzle and the nozzle
body, is nestled in place with a ridge that prevents it from falling
out when not installed.
The company says the combination eliminates the need to assemble the
spray tip, nozzle cap and gasket. Having one part makes it easier and
more efficient to change nozzles, and assures quality performance.
The AI TeeJet, and the new AIC nozzle are designed to minimize drift
with a pre-orifice and an air venturi that sucks air into an air
induction chamber. This chamber mixes the air with the spray liquid,
producing a larger sized, and in some cases, air-entrained droplet.
The AIC and XRC spray nozzles are available with stainless steel tips
and soon will be available with long-lasting ceramic or polymer tip
inserts.
TeeJet spray nozzles are now colour-classified to indicate what size
droplets they produce to match future labelling of crop protection
products.
The XRC, for instance, produces droplets from very fine to very coarse,
and the AIC produces droplets from medium to extremely coarse.
