Two-in-one trailer
Machinery has introduced a new gooseneck trailer for hay hauling and other uses.
The 36-foot unit is two trailers in one, a flat deck and a round bale transport.
The deck is make of heavy steel and is of legal width when empty and can be certified. Dual wheels are optional.
In the round bale transport mode, it features mechanical side unloading of any size bales in less than five minutes.

Safety book
Be Seen, Be Safe is the name of a guidebook published by the Prairie Agricultural Machinery Institute.
The book outlines new lighting and marking regulations in Manitoba for road transport of farm equipment.
It brings together manufacturers’ standards for farm equipment, such as those that call for red reflectors and lights on the rear and amber reflectors and lights on sides and front.

Field sprayer
Mac Don has introduced a field sprayer attachment for its turbo windrowing tractors.
The Mac Don 625 can be mounted on the front of the tractor using the existing linkage system. Front-mounted units provide better visibility than pull-type sprayers.
The 625 has a three-section break-away boom designed with a front-mounted 400 U.S. gallon tank. It gives 90 feet of coverage.
The variable speed hydrostatic drive can perform smoothly at speeds of 26 km-h.
Operations are assisted by ultrasonic ground speed sensors and are monitored and controlled from the cab. Each boom can be adjusted from 20 to 60 inches off the ground.
It hydraulically folds into an upright position in less than two minutes.

Poly post
Baygard, a division of Bay Mills Ltd., has introduced the Bigfoot poly post for portable electric fencing. The Bigfoot is a step in, 48-inch poly post with a built-in nail at the bottom to penetrate most soils.
The extra-wide step gives users a good grip, even when wearing cowboy and work boots. It has nine insulators to hold electric fence wires and tapes up to 1.5 inches in width.
