Guidance systems
CSI Wireless Inc. has two new products for the aerial guidance market.
LiteStar II is a low-cost entry-level guidance system, and AerialAce is a variable rate flow control system for aerial spraying that is automated for precision and safety.
The LiteStar II has an easy-to-follow light bar that features a wide range of brightness options to accommodate changing light conditions, and an improved user interface with a display screen. Other improvements include an optional, removable card on which spray, maps and other job-related data can be logged.

VIDEO: Green Lightning and Nytro Ag win sustainability innovation award
Nytro Ag Corp and Green Lightning recieved an innovation award at Ag in Motion 2025 for the Green Lightning Nitrogen Machine, which converts atmospheric nitrogen into a plant-usable form.
Its data-logging capabilities enable operators to dramatically improve their efficiency by logging many of their common flying patterns and co-ordinates so they can more easily navigate. Included is Satloc’s MapStar software that enables operators to view, print and analyze maps.
It is designed to work with all CSI/Satloc global positioning systems.
The AerialAce variable rate flow system enables operators to automatically vary the concentration and content of the material they aerially apply to their fields.
Aerial images with detailed crop data are used to create prescription maps for each field. The maps are used with GPS aerial guidance systems such as the Satloc M3, so operators can pre-program their variable rate flow for customized applications.

Distributor for seed treatment
Bayer CropScience has an agreement with Gustafson to become the exclusive distributor of Genesis 240 in Canada.
Genesis 240 (imidacloprid) is a potato seed piece treatment used to control Colorado potato beetles and other potato insect pests.
Genesis 240 received registration in April 2003 and was available on a limited basis from Gustafson during the 2003 application season. It is applied to the potato seed piece before planting. It reduces the need for in-season foliar insecticide applications and can reduce insect protection costs, depending on the seeding rate and the cost of foliar applications previously used by the grower.
With the acquisition, Bayer CropScience now has three ways to use the chemistry: Admire in-furrow; Admire foliar; and now Genesis seed piece treatment.

Agricultural tire line
Firestone has a new agricultural tire line, the Super All Traction II 23, featuring many of the benefits of a radial tire in a bias tire construction.
It replaces Firestone’s traction field and road line.
The tire is offered in four sizes – 18.4-34, 15.5-38, 18.4-38 and 20.8-38 – with more sizes planned.
The tire has been designed for use on utility tractors, small row crop and cost conscious third fitment positions.
It is an economy bias tire that performs in the field, as well as many premium bias tires for traction while exhibiting antivibration features of the premium bias, the company said.
It features 23 degree long bar design for even wear and a comfortable ride.
The number of lugs has been increased for stronger pull and longer life.

Seed protectant expands
Vitaflo 280 seed protectant from Gustafson is now registered on more than 100 diseases on 12 crops.
Its colourant system contains a pigment, rather than a dye, which means it is non-staining and easy to clean. The new formulation is also soft-settling and is more inoculant friendly. Check with your inoculant supplier for details.
The product offers a broad spectrum of disease protection in cereals and flax and a range of pulses and soybeans.
