Area monitors
Agtron Enterprises has introduced the new Area Plus monitor to its product line. The monitor provides data on distance, area, speed, shaft r.p.m. and time, enhancing the efficiency of farming operations such as chemical application, tillage and harvesting.
The two-acre counters tally totals and sub-totals. When spraying, for instance, this measurement allows operators to check the application rate with each tank of pesticide and also the total field area covered. The monitor works through a magnet mounted on a wheel hub or driveshaft where it will pass by a sensor. Each time the wheel rotates, the magnet closes a switch inside the sensor. The Area Plus monitor contains a micro-processor which calculates the distance, area and speed from the sensor signal. Interfaces are available for tractors equipped with radar.

Rigid chaffers
The new Loewen airfoil chaffer features welded-in dividers which promote even distribution of grain, even in hilly conditions. The dividers also add to the strength and rigidity of the chaffer.
Loewen chaffers are made of corrosion-resistant, galvanized steel and are preset for optimum recovery of both coarse (corn, soybeans), fine (flax, clover) and difficult-to-handle (sunflower) crops.
The rigid chaffers are made in Canada and are guaranteed for their lifetime.
