Utility chute
Powder River’s new utility chute will help beef cattle and dairy producers handle livestock. Both of the hinged squeeze gates are split to enable producers to either swing the top, bottom or entire gate out of the way. One person can operate the chute, since the tailgate can be opened if a person is standing at the stanchion.
The squeeze gates have metal ratchets to confine the animal safely. The chute also uses a safety release self-catch stanchion with several width settings and a release mechanism on each side of the chute. Should an animal go down on its side, two latches at foot-level allow for quick release of pressure.

Two in one
DAUPHIN, Man. (Staff) – Farmers in Manitoba got their first chance recently to see a new hay raking machine in action.
The rake tedder works as two hay rakes in one to fluff the swath higher and bigger for quicker drying, said Jim Anderson of Westwards Parts, the Winnipeg company importing the machine from Wisconsin.
“Dealers are grabbing them up as fast as they get their hands on them,” said Anderson.
The H & S Hay machine has been used for several years in the United States.
