Air seeders
The 1850 No-Till Drill is the newest addition to John Deere’s air seeding systems.
The air drill has a single-disc opener and a gauge wheel that measures furrow depth where the seed falls. For good seed to soil contact, the semi-pneumatic press wheels tuck the seed into the trench.
For better germination, the cast iron closing wheel crumbles the soil from the furrow wall over the seed without compacting the soil directly above the seed. The 1850 is available in widths of up to 40 feet (12 metres.)

Nytro Ag Corp and Green Lightning recieved an innovation award at Ag in Motion 2025 for the Green Lightning Nitrogen Machine, which converts atmospheric nitrogen into a plant-usable form.
The hydraulics system places up to 475 pounds of down pressure on each opener to match soil and residue conditions. The pressure improves penetration and seed depth for uniform emergence.

Puncture sealant
A puncture sealing treatment developed by a British company is designed to reduce flat tire damage. OKO is an in-place preventative sealant developed by Linseal International.
The product is administered through the tire valve. When there is a puncture, OKO seals the hole, reducing downtime and maintenance bills.
The sealant is a mixture of various compounds and recycled rubber and is less viscous than normal fibre sealants so there is less risk of clogging the valve during application. It is effective for holes up to 10 millimetres in diameter and has been tested on all sizes of tires.
