Calf sled
Saskatchewan producers Patrick and Reg Sonntag have designed the Sun-Tag calf sled, which is made of plastic durable enough to withstand Canadian winters.
The sled’s open back design allows the calf to be pulled onto the sled, minimizing lifting and injury. The calf’s back leg can then be placed in a slot at the front of the sled, eliminating the need to
restrain it.
The sled is easy to pull and allows the cow to see its calf, minimizing anxiety. It is 27 inches wide, 22 inches high, 59 inches long and weighs 25 pounds. It sells for $115 plus GST.

This trough can be mounted onto a transportable trailer system that is equipped with a choice of a 1,500, 2,000, 2,500 or 3,700 imperial gallon cone bottom poly water tank. The trailer comes equipped with highway tires and a self-contained hydraulic system that allows for easy towing and handling.
The larger trough has a 1,000 gallon capacity and a rectangular design. Sidewalls are 26 inches in height and are reinforced with metal to offer durability.
A bulkhead cavity is moulded into both troughs and each features a fitting for easy drainage. Float valves are optional.
For ease of transport, an optional trough tote is available for the 1,000 gallon model. It is equipped with implement tires and a manual raise-and lower system for enhanced mobility.
