More compact tractors

Agco has added four new tractors to its ST series of compact tractors. The new models are the ST22A subcompact and the ST24A, ST28A and ST33A.

The models have many of the features found on larger tractors, such as four-wheel drive and differential lock.

Horsepower ratings range from 22.5 to 33 hp and all models feature flip-up hoods and removable side panels for easy access and maintenance.

The tractors are equipped to handle pedestal mount loaders. All models offer multiple tire options, as well as rear or mid-mounted pto.

VIDEO: Green Lightning and Nytro Ag win sustainability innovation award

Nytro Ag Corp and Green Lightning recieved an innovation award at Ag in Motion 2025 for the Green Lightning Nitrogen Machine, which converts atmospheric nitrogen into a plant-usable form.

The ST22A has a 68.5 cubic inch 22.5 hp, three-cylinder diesel engine and a two-range hydrostatic transmission. It has a 57 inch wheelbase and a total length of 97.6 inches, making it the smallest Agco tractor in production.

It features a hydraulic flow rate of 4.1 gallons per minute. Its category one three-point hitch has a lift capacity of 540 kilograms and a loader capacity of 213 kg.

The ST24A also has a 22.5 hp engine but has a heavier chassis, faster hydraulic flow rate and a loader bucket capacity of 256 kg.

The ST28A and ST33A models have horsepower ratings of 28.4 hp and 33 hp respectively.

Platform helps harvest

The 615P Belt Pick-Up Platform from John Deere allows small grain producers to harvest bigger windrows with faster ground speeds. The new header is designed for John Deere STS combines.

The 15-foot platform design includes a 26-inch diameter auger with five-inch-deep flighting for high performance in windrows.

Four 44.5-inch spliced belts are driven by dual 97cc hydraulic motors and a heavy rubber-coated traction roll, to ensure enough capacity to handle big windrows.

A simple air bag suspension system uses gas shock dampening to keep the platform stable and close to the ground. This reduces crop loss in front of the header and ensures that the crop is cleanly lifted and smoothly fed into the combine feeder house.

Header Height Sensing and Contour Master systems allow the operator to maintain header height and feederhouse angle.

The platform adjusts automatically in uneven terrain and allows the operator to run faster in all field conditions.

The new platforms are more durable and are designed with high strength steel in the auger centre section and platform floor. The suspension protects the header from damage at higher ground speeds. A heavy auger drive chain, heavy duty auger slip clutch, and stronger fixed gauge wheels mean improved durability.
