Tester carrying case
Two Saskatchewan farmers have devised a way to eliminate the frustration of lost time as they drive back and forth to the elevator, the neighbor’s or the home quarter to test grain samples during harvest.
Wayne and Dale Sopotyk from Prud’homme invented a pre-molded, lightweight, durable, poly-ethylene carrying case designed to fit elevator-type moisture testers and protect them during storage and transport. It fits all 919 elevator-type moisture testers with Ohaus scales with a three or 3.5-inch load cell. Pivoting doors allow easy access and a removable threaded cap accommodates a power cord. There is room for calibration charts and canola and a mustard seed inspection kit. The Harvest Helper allows farmers to test in the field, while drying grain or checking bins.
