Rear blades
Leon-Ram Enterprises has introduced two new models of rear blades, manufactured to fit tractors up to 150 horsepower, fitting category II and III, three-point hitches. Both blades have been designed to angle and offset both left and right, and to tilt up and down. The blades can also be ordered with hydraulic angle, offset and tilt. The operator doesn’t have to relocate the hydraulic cylinder or the mechanical link in angle or offset mode, since the moldboard of the Leon 396 and 3100 can be reversed by removing the cylinder pin, rotating the blade and reinserting the pin. No removal or reinstallation of any brackets is required. Contact: Leon-Ram Enterprises, 135 Yorkton Road East, Yorkton, Sask., S3N 3Z4; tel. 786-2600; fax 782-1884.

Clean water
RGF Environmental Systems, Inc. has released its Catalytic Oxidation Process for treatment of small to medium-size streams (up to 7,600 litres) of industrial waste water. The skid-mounted system combines three oxidation processes – ultraviolet light, ozone and hydrogen peroxide – to create a fourth oxidizer. This batch process breaks down organic compounds to carbon dioxide and water. It has been tested on waste streams from food processors, agricultural pesticides and petroleum hydrocarbons. The unit can be added to an existing water treatment system or can be used alone.
