Tractor loaders

Agco Corp. has released two new lines of Fendt loaders.

One series is made for the Vario 400 and 700 series German-made Fendt tractors and comes as factory installed equipment.

They feature heavy-duty cast-iron mountings that securely attach to the tractor’ s cast-iron half frame.

This allows for narrow contoured brackets that permit full maneuverability of the power front axle and provide access to the engine compartment for maintenance.

They feature a hydraulic line breakage safety feature that instantly locks the front loader if a line or hose breaks, and a lowering control valve that provides a constant lowering speed for any load.

Agco also has the 450 HSL and 750 HSL hydraulic self-leveling loader built in North America and available as a dealer installed add-on to the 400 and 700 Vario Fendt tractors.

They feature a high-tensile strength boom frame. The pedestal mount gives the same front axle maneuverability as the factory-mounted loaders.

The units also have a height adjustment pin that allows two ranges of lift.

Fendt tractors have a built-in joystick loader control. Push-button operation of an optional third hydraulic circuit control allows the operator to engage a grapple fork or other auxiliary attachment.

Crop parter

Crop Savers by DeKonings are stainless steel cones that float in front of high clearance sprayer tires.

They part the crop and save it from being crushed under the wheels.

The manufacturer estimates that without the cones, sprayers trample about two percent of the crop. The trampled plants can interfere with harvesting operations and seeding equipment the following spring. Tire tracks can also be a major source of volunteer seeds in the following crop.

The three-foot, 14-gauge steel cones split the crop, and steel extension tubes behind the cones ensure the crop never hits the tires.

Crop Savers are designed to fit all sprayers.
