Moisture sensor

Micro-Trak Systems has introduced an on-the-go combine moisture

sensor. The MS100 is designed to attach to the discharge end of the grain tank fill auger. There is no modification needed for installation. Two clamps hold the MS100 to the auger.

The unit adapts to work with most major yield monitors including Grain-Trak, AL 2000 and AFS systems.

New genetics

Excel Management, a division of Stomp Pork Farm Ltd., is licensed to sell Dalland Genetics through its new artificial insemination stud facility.

The facility has a 100-boar capacity and provides semen from the Dalland Line 80 terminal boar. Boars are selected for growth rate, feed intake and leanness and are tested for good sperm motility.

Hay testers

Farmex has introduced two portable hay testers.

The HMT-3-X portable tester uses an LED panel indicator to display readings from 35 to 75 percent moisture.

It can also be set for low, medium or high bale densities. It comes with an 18 inch probe, low-battery indicator and a roll of bale wrap patch tape.

The HMT-3 version has the same features plus direct readout of temperatures from 0 to 107 C. It can also be adjusted for bale density, hay cutting and hay types.
