New cleaner
Farmstead Products of Hinckley, Minn. has introduced an improved version of its seed and grain cleaner.
The 150HD is capable of cleaning any grain type to seed quality at up to 150 bushels an hour. Higher capacities are possible when cleaning grain for storage or sale and larger versions are also available.
The machines are built using white oak for the frames and three-quarter-inch plywood reinforced with steel for the machine body.
The cleaner has two upper scalping screens and a lower one for fines removal. There is an optional rubber ball screen cleaning system.

Silage inoculant
Pickseed Canada Inc. is the distributor for the new silage inoculant Ensure.
Ensure is manufactured by Chr. Hansen Biosystems, the world’s largest maker of microbial products for the dairy industry.
It is available for forages and corn and comes in liquid and granular forms.

Flexi-Coil, a Saskatoon-based manufacturer of seeding, tillage and spraying equipment, has introduced a home page on the internet.
The site has information and pictures of the company’s product line.
It also carries articles on conservation farming, spraying, precision farming and packing from the company’s Seeding Today magazine.

Two more loaders
Gehl Company has introduced two skid-steer loaders for 1997.
The new 35 Series has lift arms designed for better operator visibility and more lift capacity. The models also have expanded wheel bases for more stability.
The 6635 model has a 48-inch wheelbase, an 80 h.p. turbo-charged oil-cooled diesel engine and lifting capacity of 2,300 lb.
The 5635 model has a 60 h.p. oil-cooled diesel, a 42-inch wheel base and 1,800 lb. lift capacity.
The units both have a roomier cab and adjustable seat, with hands-only control system. The left hand controls speed and direction while the right controls the lift arm and bucket.
