Mower-conditioner
New Holland has introduced a centre pivot-tongue mower-conditioner called the Discbine.
The cutterbar, which is driven from both ends, features 10 small-diameter, modular disc cutting units for a 13-foot cut.
The model 1431 has a cutting disc profile and crop lifters to give smooth crop flow to the conditioning rolls. The 102-inch chevron-design conditioner rolls provide high capacity conditioning in light or heavy crops.
A torsion bar conditioner roll pressure system provides uniform conditioning and can pass slugs without plugging.

Electrostatic sprayer
Spectrum Electrostatic Sprayers are designed to reduce agricultural chemical use, reduce drift and improve spraying accuracy.
The Spectrum system uses air-assist, air sheer and electrostatic technology.
The system atomizes the liquid and gives it a positive or negative charge, depending on the application.
The charged particles are attracted to opposite charge on the plants and coat top and bottom of leaves in heavy canopies.
Spectrum models range from 30 to 300 gallons, p.t.o.-driven trailer sprayers and three-point hitch tractor-mounted sprayers. There is also a system to convert motorized backpack mistblowers to electrostatic operation.
For more information call Spectrum at 403-248-3229 or write Suite 125-100,1039 17th Ave. S.W. Calgary, Alta. T2T 0B2.
