Electronic rain gauge
Innoquest makes an electronic digital rain gauge that records rainfall to the nearest 1Ú100 of an inch. The gauge’s sensor unit is made of rugged PVC and can be mounted on a roof, post or deck with a rust-resistant aluminum bracket.
All internal parts are pre-assembled and require no calibration. The sensor unit and bracket are mounted and connected to the digital readout with wire. The readout, with a reset button, can be mounted on a wall with Velcro adhesive.
Rainwater collects in the sensor unit, filters through a wick and is formed into uniform drops by a brass tube. These drops strike contact screws and an electrical charge is sent through the wire to the digital readout. The gauge is sold with a 30-day money-back guarantee and a three-year warranty.

STIHL Ltd. of London, Ont. has recalled all BR 320, BR 320L and BR 400 backpack blowers.
The blowers were manufactured after Oct. 21, 1991 with serial numbers greater than 224438666. The recall is necessary because of possible fuel line leaks which could cause a fire.
The units subject to recall were sold from Nov. 1991 to April 1994 through STIHL’s dealer network. The serial number is visible through the small opening above the recoil starter housing. Return the blower to an authorized dealer where the fuel line will be replaced and the fuel tank modified at no cost.
