Air product cart

Conserva Pak Seeding Systems has a new air product cart, available as an all-dry, 400-bushel system.

The same system is also being developed in combination with integral liquid and anhydrous ammonia-mounted tanks.

The unit allows fertilizer and seed row metering with direct delivery to each opener.

This allows more accurate distribution of product among rows and more gentle handling of product by direct delivery instead of by a tower system. It also helps prevent flow line blockage while working with large seeds such as peas.

VIDEO: Green Lightning and Nytro Ag win sustainability innovation award

Nytro Ag Corp and Green Lightning recieved an innovation award at Ag in Motion 2025 for the Green Lightning Nitrogen Machine, which converts atmospheric nitrogen into a plant-usable form.

The unit offers high product output with low hydraulic oil requirements. Cameras monitor lines and tank levels and provide a behind-the-cart view.

Metering zones are accessible and all four compartments have shut-off gates and easy-change meter rollers.

Smart pad

Mid-Tech’s new Swath XL pairs a light bar with a hand-held smart pad to deliver greater flexibility to stand-alone guidance systems.

The light bar is made of a weather and chemical-resistant alloy so it can be mounted on the hood or in the cab. It has extra-bright lights that can be adjusted for contrast and brightness, depending on the ambient light.

It has an eight-character text display that cycles the operator’s choice of three messages. Also, it displays a warning when the satellite signal is lost or when an operator approaches a hazard or an area that has already been covered.

The smart pad helps guide the operator through set up with drop-down menu choices and an on-screen description of tasks and menu items. Large keys can mark and name points in the field.

Work is saved to a file card that can be downloaded to an office system.

Skid steer

John Deere says it has improved its 200 series skid steer line.

The Model 260 and 270 are now available with a factory installed two-speed option that has a high-capacity cooling package and a spring-applied, environmentally sealed, wet-disk brake that never needs adjustment.

The top speed is just over 19 kilometres an hour.

They also have a 10 percent increase in bucket breakout force for more powerful digging ability.

Hydraulic self-leveling on the 260 and 270 and steering enhancements on all the 200 series have improved control for operators.

John Deere also carries a line of attachments for its skid steers.

Watering trough

SPI Industries has a new livestock watering trough called the Big C.

The seven-foot long waterer has polyurethane insulation and features a float and valve system in the centre, creating optimum water accessibility. It holds 284 litres of water.

Two drainage parts are at each end, allowing flexibility in installation.
