Tagging system
Farnam has introduced a double lock cattle tagging system that allows tagging in one swift motion.
The Z 2 Double-Lock Tag offers 12 combinations for a secure two -piece ear tag. The swivel head almost eliminates the likelihood of torn ears or the bending of the applicator pin if the animal moves or jerks in tagging. A pivot pin swings back out for reloading.
The tags have surgical points that cut cleanly through the ear. The applicator pin itself never touches the ear, reducing the risk of disease transfer.

Flow meters
SensorPro, a division of Beetronics Inc., has introduced a new line of magnetic flow meters for precision farming application of herbicides and liquid fertilizer.
The Ultraflow line uses a magnetic field to measure flow and has no moving parts in the fluid stream.
The Ultraflow 75 can handle flow rates of up to 68 litres (15 gallons) per minute and is suitable for sprayers up to 30 metres wide.
The Ultraflow 100 handles flows up to 227 L (50 gallons) per minute and is suited to liquid fertilizer and custom herbicide applicators.
The units self calibrate to different types of water-herbicide mixes or liquid fertilizer blends.
The units install with a three-wire interface and are compatible with most sprayer meterheads that handle inputs of 226 pulses per litre (1,024 pulses per gallon.)
