New tractor line
Mahindra tractors from India are now available in Canada.
Bar T5 Agra Services of Millarville, Alta., is distributing the red small-horsepower tractors.
Mahindra began making tractors in the early 1960s in association with International Harvester. Today it is the largest producer of tractors in India and ranks among the largest producers in the world.
Its plants have international ISO 9001 quality certification.
The tractors are designed to meet U.S. Environmental Protection Agency standards and the diesel engines and transmission are upgraded through joint projects with Austrian companies.

Horsepower ranges from 35 to 59. The chassis are heavy, rugged and cast iron.
One of the smaller models is the E350-DI with 35 hp coming from a three-cylinder, four-stroke, direct-injection water-cooled diesel engine.
The sliding mesh transmission has eight forward and two reverse speeds. The independent live hydraulic system has 8.3 gallons per minute output.
The larger model 6000 is a four wheel drive unit with a four cylinder, four-stroke, direct injection water-cooled diesel producing 59 hp at 2,100 rpm.
The transmission is a forward-reverse synchro-shuttle with eight forward and eight reverse speeds.
The open centre live hydraulic system produces 11 gallons per minute.

Label expanded
The label for Decis EC has been expanded to include treatment of lygus bug and cabbage seedpod weevil in canola and mustard.
The product is registered for ground and aerial application.
Wheat growers can also now tank mix Decis EC with Puma Super and Puma Super with Buctril M for herbicide and insecticide control, important this year when grasshoppers could be a severe problem.

Tree clipper
The Tree Clipper from Worksaver handles hard to reach tree branches.
Designed for use with a tractor loader or skid steer, the Tree Clipper’s cutting blades are made from T-1 steel in a welded steel frame.
The cutting head rotates 113 degrees. The head rotator cylinder is three by 10 inches and the cutting head cylinder is five by eight inches. It can be mounted on either side of the main frame.
Model TC8-Fl is for use with a tractor loader and comes with pin-type attachment brackets. It requires a minimum of 45 pto horsepower.
The TC8-SS works with a skid steer and uses a universal attachment system.
