Tire changer
Gempler has introduced a new manual tire changer.
The unit handles all tire sizes from eight inches to light truck sizes and heavy-duty flotation tires.
It has a mounting pedestal, bead breaker, mount/dismount bar and a tire repair chart for the wall.
Accessories include tools for small tires on garden implements, a bead breaker shoe and a tire spreader that aids quick inspection and repair.

Heavy-duty cutter
Gearboxes rated for 110 horsepower are featured on the 280 series of cutters manufactured by Bush Hog. The units are designed for mowing in materials up to two inches in diameter, and feature five, six and seven foot widths.
The cutters have adjustable slip clutches, rounded backs and quarter-inch thick, eight-inch deep sidebands for greater strength.

Mud control
Typar Mud Control Fabric, manufactured by Reemay, is designed to keep mud under control by acting as a separator so gravel will not disappear into soil.
The strong, nonwoven fabric prevents ruts and potholes at less expense than concrete and can be used at barn entrances, the edges of concrete pads, under swinging gates or around feed and water troughs.
The fabric is made of polypropylene and the manufacturer says it has been tested in agricultural uses for 14 years. Porous enough to allow water through, it prevents rocks and soil from sinking, keeping the ground drier and more stable.
Typar Mud Control Fabric is available in two sizes: eight by 200 feet and 12.5 by 300 feet and is installed by laying the material on the ground and covering it with aggregate.

Vent doors
Plastic vent doors from Aerotech Inc. are designed to make it easier to control sidewall air inlets in barns and other buildings.
The vent doors control and direct air flow. Standard cable and rod adjustment packages are available for automatic control by pressure-sensing controllers, or with manual winches.
They are available in 22, 36 and 46 inch sizes, and can be installed end to end for longer spans. A hinge and top-edge seal eliminates air leaks and the plastic construction makes cleaning easier.
